Butler Bank Commissions Murals of Two Andover Historical Sites

Butler Bank Commissions Murals of Two Andover Historical Sites
To Honor Local Photographer at ‘Meet the Artist Night’

ANDOVER, Mass., Novembr 8, 2007- Butler Bank of Andover hosted ‘Meet the Artist Night’, in honor of local photographer Mark Spencer, for the creation of two murals depicting Andover historical landmarks. The ‘Meet the Artist Night’ was held at Butler Bank in Andover, on Thursday, November 8th. Limited edition prints of the murals were available for sale and all the proceeds were donated to the Andover Historical Society.

Butler Bank, dedicated to being a strong community partner, commissioned Andover photographer Mark Spencer earlier this year to create two large murals. The murals, one of The Park and the other of Phillips Academy, are an honor to Andover’s rich history and community presence. Spencer’s murals now hang as the main focal point in the newly constructed Butler Bank Andover Branch.

"We at Butler Bank are proud to have our Andover Branch adorned with two outstanding murals that depict the history and the beauty of Andover. Both The Park and Phillips Academy have long been hallmarks of the town. Mark Spencer has certainly captured the beauty and the history of Andover in these two wonderful masterpieces, and we are pleased to have played a role in their creation”, said Rosemary Radulski, Butler Bank Business Development Director.

“It was an honor to have been chosen to create murals that will be enjoyed by so many Andover residents of such iconic locations. I especially enjoyed applying the technical and artistic skills that I utilize in my portraiture to these idyllic landscapes”, said Mark Spencer, Carriage House Portraits.

Mark Spencer’s murals are housed, and available for viewing, at Butler Bank in Andover, located at 16 North Main Street.

Butler Bank Opens Andover Branch

Andover, MA – June 1, 2007 – Butler Bank, a recognized leader in construction loan and high-yield deposit accounts, has opened the doors of its much-anticipated Andover branch and office building in Andover.

The new branch, located at 16 North Main Street, is Butler Bank’s fourth location. It offers a full spectrum of savings, checking, and online banking, as well as a drive-thru window with extended hours for customer convenience, two ATMs, and the most competitive rates among Massachusetts banks.

Butler Bank has been an integral part of the growth of the Merrimack Valley for more than 100 years. With the opening of the new Andover branch, Butler Bank brings not only a first-class banking facility, but also a strong community partner.

“We are so pleased to be a part of the Andover community and look forward to offering our industry-leading products and services to our new customers,” said John H. Pearson Jr., Butler Bank President and CEO. “As important, we are committed to the communities we serve as a good neighbor and partner. We are looking forward to contributing to the continuing success of the Andover community and its people in many ways.”

For example, Butler Bank designed the 12,000-foot office building with a community room, a large conference room that Butler Bank is offering to Andover non-profit organizations for meetings and events. In addition to providing the free meeting space, Butler Bank has pledged to make a donation to each of the non-profit organizations.

The Andover branch opening is the latest in a series of recent successes for Butler Bank. The bank recently became first among Massachusetts-headquartered banks with a 36.5 percent deposit growth rate. The FDIC also ranked Butler third in loan growth with a 25 percent growth rate and third among its peers in net interest margin. The rankings continue a solid growth trajectory over the past decade.

“We strive to provide the highest level of banking expertise and competitive edge while maintaining the personalized customer service of a neighborhood bank,” said Vice President Ginger B. Pearson. An example of this is that the Bank offers complimentary donuts and coffee to its customers every Saturday morning. “At our new Andover branch, as at all our branches, we will work hard to get to know each of our customers by name and respond to their individual needs when they walk through our doors.”

In addition to the Butler Bank branch, the professional building will house a Boston King Café, as well as a law firm and an accounting firm.
